Granby Four Streets Community Land Trust (CLT) was constituted in 2011 by residents of four streets near Princes Park in Toxteth, Liverpool.
Housing provision forms part of the vision of vibrant, thriving mixed community, and it a shared contact who knew about my personal passion for providing quality and affordable housing who introduced me to the Granby Four Streets Community Land Trust (CLT). Towards the end of 2020 they invited me to support them.
To date they have renovated 13 houses on Cairns Street in Toxteth. Some have been renovated for low-cost ownership and affordable housing, and two have been adapted into the wonderful Winter Garden arts and community space. This project was led by Assemble Architects and was awarded the 2015 Turner prize.
I am using a mix of my skills in project management, arts, culture and heritage to support them as an organisation, and hopefully deliver more affordable housing and commercial space to regenerate the Granby Street area and bring the former high street back to life.
